When do you feel most lonely? Is it when you are alone? Or when you are with someone, but feeling disconnected from them? Most of us feel very lonely when we are emotionally disconnected from those we love most. This month, I'd like to focus on reconnecting with someone you love.

When you are feeling disconnected from someone you love, most likely you are also disconnected from your core value. Remember, your core value can not be taken away from you, by you can become disconnected from it. When that happens, your sense of self is lowered, resulting in blaming others for your pain and harboring resentment. That underlying resentment can cause a chilly wall to be erected between you and those you love.

The first step in removing that chilly wall is to reconnect with your core value. You can do that by practicing your core value exercises twelve times a day. Fill up your core value bank and experience your value. Improve upon something. Appreciate someone or something. Protect or Connect with someone. All of these exercises will bring you back to feeling your worth; Your value; Your sense of self. Once you are in that place, you can connect with someone you love, even if they are also feeling low or disconnected with their core value. From this empowered place of feeling your core value, you can also know your boundaries and limits and can see when an interaction with someone might not be the best thing for you, for them, or for your relationship with them. All decisions and interactions are best made from a place of strengthened core value.

My wish for you in 2007 is that you will reconnect with your sense of self. That you will feel the beauty within and be able to value the beauty within others.

Happy New Year! May 2007 bring you joy, peace and true happiness!
